Waist Trainer FAQs

Latex Waist Trainers immediately sculpt the midsection through thermal compression, while supporting the back and lifting the bust, creating an overall slimmer waist and curvier hourglass figure.

Ever since Kim Kardashian was seen wearing a Waist Training Corset showing off her tiny waist on Instagram, it has been the latest craze everyone’s taking about.

Wether you have simply gained a few pounds, recently had a baby, have an event to attend, recovering from surgery e.g. Liposuction or just struggling to shift stubborn tummy fat despite all your hard work in the gym? A Waist Trainer is the perfect Shapewear garment to help you slim down your midsection and get a flatter tummy.

What is a Waist Trainer?

A Waist Trainer is a corset type Shapewear garment that is made of lycra and internal latex material which wraps around your waist. When worn it aids in creating maximum perspiration leading to fat burn. The fabric of the corset has an advanced fabric and lining that enables the corset to stretch to your body both horizontally & vertically.

What does the Waist Trainer do?

The Waist Trainer works through thermal compression which causes ramped up perspiration, which helps to burn fatty deposits and in effect "sweat them out" along with water weight in your midsection. This gives you a slimmer waist line and more defined hourglass figure. It also helps to lift your bust and can be used while working out, carrying out everyday tasks or even while sleeping depending on how quickly you wish to see results. Another benefit is that you will see results IMMEDIATELY after putting on the Waist Trainer.

Who can benefit from a Waist Trainer?

Our Waist Trainers serve a variety of people: Women who are already very slim with no curves can achieve more of an hourglass figure by wearing a Waist Trainer. Cinching your waist naturally makes your bum, hips and bust look larger giving you an overall curvier shape. Overweight women can lose several inches, tone, and burn fat around their midsection, reducing love handles and achieving a flatter tummy and slimmer waistline. Women who have given birth can wear a Waist Trainer after pregnancy to tighten core muscles, reduce swelling and stretch marks, support the spine, and shrink the uterus back to it's normal faster. It has also been reported that since the Waist Trainers help correct your posture they could help alleviate common back pain.

What size Waist Trainer do I need?

How many Waist Trainers do I need?

We would advise you to purchase two Waist Trainers if you plan on working out regularly as they can get very sweaty (i.e. A Classic one for day to day wear and a Workout one for use at the gym). This will allow you to alternate their usage frequently to avoid wearing them out, destroying their strength and to allow adequate time for cleaning and air drying in between, and so that each trainer gets to ‘rest’ between each wearing.

How to put on the Waist Trainer

When you receive your Waist Trainer you may need help putting it on the first time. The Waist Trainer should have about a 5 inch space between it (the opening) before closing. It’s not suppose to touch. Then you have to pull it together and I mean really pull. Starting from the first bottom hook, continue to close the hook and eye clasps working your way up to the top. You may have to stand in the mirror. The Waist Trainer will become easier to put on over time while still keeping its elasticity and tightness due to design. In order to transform your waistline, the Waist Trainer is supposed to be tight but should not cause discomfort. It may take some getting used to.

The Classic latex Waist Trainer needs to be worn consistently everyday over the course of a month to have a visible impact. The Workout Waist Trainer can be worn during your workouts at home or at the gym.

How do I wash and care for my Waist Trainer?

  • Do not iron body shapers
  • Do not use bleach
  • Do not tumble dry

How do your Waist Trainers and Shapewear compare to others on the market?

Our Waist Trainers are made of the highest quality in comparison to other trainers commonly found on the market. We only sell genuine branded Ann Chery or Squeem (sold as Esbelt in the UK) Waist Trainers and Shapewear. You won’t have to worry about broken hooks (common amongst other cheap unbranded Waist Traiders after a few weeks), rods that poke out, or it becoming really loose after a couple uses. Our waist trainers are also thicker and sturdier and they retain their tightness much longer than other waist trainers on the market.

Are the Waist Trainers like steel boned corsets?

No, the Waist Trainers we sell are not steel boned corsets but function very similar. Our waist trainers contain spiral metal rods (flexi boning) to help support your midsection and keep your waist trainer in place without rolling up or down. They are flexible not rigid, so mould to your shape. The waist trainer will immediately give you that beautiful hourglass silhouette (lose inches instantly) and with continued extended use it will actually reshape your midsection through thermal  compression and perspiration. Since it isn't as bulky as a traditional corset you can wear it discreetly under your clothes and no one will know you have it on. The waist trainers are also much more comfortable to sleep in than a steel boned or tight lacing corset.

Are Waist Trainers dangerous? ... Will they constrict or affect my organs?

Absolutely not. There is a common misconception and incorrect association between traditional steel boned corsets and latex Waist Trainers! Our Waist Trainers are made from medical grade latex and FlexBoning support inserts that bend with you, always contouring to your bodys natural shape which can never create enough pressure to disrupt your internal organs, providing you wear the correct size. Waist Trainers are not to be confused with traditional (tightlacing) corset training which are made out of metal steel boning and tightening laces. The tight lacing corset training forcefully tighten your waistline and ribcage beyond your natural waist shape which can be dangerous to your internal organs and your health.

What age can I start Waist Training from?

Although there are no age restrictions, we recommend the use of our products are for adults aged 18+. If you are aged under 18 please consult your parent or guardian prior to making a purchase.

What is the difference between the Classic and Sport Waist Trainers?

The Classic Latex Waist Trainers are ideal for daily wear, at the office, around the house and less active periods of your day. If you're interested in enhancing your workouts, then a Sport Latex Waist Cincher is best for you! They have inside Latex layer to maximise perspiration, with an exterior layer of Spandex and Cotton, making them more flexible and versatile for your workouts.

Can I wear my Waist Trainer to Workout?

Yes! Our Workout Waist Trainers are specifically designed with fitness conscious people in mind and will leave you drenched after a good workout. These Waist Trainers are suitable to wear for  running, jogging, aerobics class, going to the gym, weight training or for home workouts. However we would advise you to avoid wearing the Waist Trainer for exercise’s where you have to bend such as Yoga or Pilates.

Will Waist Training make me lose weight?

As wearing a Waist Trainer makes you perspire, you may start to notice a slight reduction in your weight when you weight yourself and here we explain why; Although Waist Trainers are not designed with weightloss in mind, many users, see this opportunity to start to a lifestyle change. Wearing a Waist Trainer puts you in a great mindset and is a good supplement to kickstart your weightloss plan. Once you start to see the visible difference in your waistline, you will naturally also become more aware of what you are putting into your body, and more likely to adopt a healthier diet. You will also be more aware of "portion control" as wearing a Waist Trainer may diminish your appetite. My Waist Trainer is causing irritation / bruising

In our experience irritation or bruising is not a common occurence amongst of our customers. If you are experiencing bruising you are very unlucky and there are a variety of reasons this could occur, for example

  • Garment is too small/too tight/ not correct fit for body type causing friction
  • Garment has been worn for excessive amounts of periods without a break
  • Latex allergy/irritation

Wearing a top beneath your waist trainer will help with the reduction of friction. If the problem persists we would advise to stop using the cincher until your skin heals, and consult your GP if you have any concerns.

Can I still Waist Train if I'm allergic to latex?
